FALL HEADLINES

This column was written by Gena Bean.

As the fall is coming in fast, it's time to reflect on what Mindful Boston achieved this summer.

As many of you know, I hired a large group of interns this summer.  We had a summer Media Team, and a Finance Department.  I was blown away by what we accomplished!  It was bittersweet to say goodbye as many of them returned to their school responsibilities.

Below are a list of upgrades that we achieved for Mindful Boston.

  • New website, new logos, new videos.

This members' newsletter is part of our new website.  It's a big upgrade over what we have been doing in the past.

The new logo is simple and elegant.  The next time you see our illustration intern, Bei, make sure to compliment her on her work.

  • Media

Media Intern, Chantelle, completed a number of videos.  You will also see them sprinkled around our new website, but you can also check them out below.

  1. --- a 2 minute S.T.O.P. video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpoFNjF9HOg
  2. ---an interview with MBSR teacher Deborah Ennis at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBv4RBB-yFs
  3. --- a testimonial from 2016 spring MBSR graduate, Tyler, at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmZABWeTECQ
  4. --- and a sweet advertisement video for next year's 2017 summer retreat at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4O47ZYoNa9k
  • A Business Plan and incorporation as a nonprofit?!

Business Development Intern, Theresa, is getting very close to finishing an official Business Plan for Mindful Boston.  It is currently 33 pages long, but well worth reading.  Next quarter, I plan to include a link so that you all can peruse it.

We have launched our Membership Program, and we want to incorporate as a nonprofit organization very soon.

Big changes continue to unfold, stay tuned!
