Interns

  • Main task: Create a print-on-demand giftshop on the Mindful Boston website.

  • Main tasks: Create social media strategy, implement automations.

  • Positions are open for 2024.
    Please apply by March for interviews in April.

    Summer internships are unpaid, start May 1st and end August 31.

Meditation Teachers

  • Forum 5 is an advisory board of guiding senior teachers who facilitate/monitor the five discussion forums of our school, curate the meditation libraries, and develop the meditation practice curriculum for the classrooms.

    These are the folks who collaborate to set the stage for Mindful Boston’s community studio, professional education and the network for mindfulness professionals.

  • Tier 4 Meditation Teachers lead classrooms and lab work during the yearly semesters.

  • Meditation teachers join the Mindful Boston Professional Network for referrals, professional education, supervision, and peer support.

Advisors

  • Mindful Boston engages in contemplative arts practice and learning. Deepening ones experience of mindfulness and compassion can, and does, overlap with the spiritual and religious lives of our members.

    The studio holds open multi-faith spaces that include atheist and humanist experiences.

    The studio has an advisory board of religious and spiritual professionals to guide our policies that protect everyone’s right to their own beliefs as they practice and learn with others, even when others have differing perspectives.

  • Mindful Boston’s business model is unusual, and cool!

    Over the years, innovative business professionals have stepped up to advise Mindful Boston leadership about topics such as: marketing/branding, strategic planning, administration, finance, etc.

35+ years of meditation and yoga study

Director of Mindful Purpose

26+ years of meditation & Buddhist study 
(Ordained in the Triratna Buddhist Order)

Teaches MBSR and offers coaching
in Arlington and Cambridge.

  • Everyone everywhere deserves access to quality mindfulness instruction.

    Mindful Boston’s Free Guest Pass is an open doorway to practice.

    Simply submit your email address, and you will get a guest pass with access to the basics of practice at our studio.

Paid Membership

  • The mindfulness itself is free.

    Mindfulness and compassion are sister qualities of heart. Think about the idea of paying for compassion… it doesn’t make a lot of sense.

    YET… The administration and coordination for studio classes is gruntwork. The hours of preparation are gruntwork. Zoom fees and electricity and renting an office are all required infrastructure with costs.

    Therefore, Mindful Boston has created an upgraded subscription program to help pay for the gruntwork and the infrastructure so that we can all keep doing this important work of keeping a studio open for each other.

    Please upgrade your subscription for two reasons:

    1) Keeping the studio doors open

    2) Getting access to a suite of classrooms, coaching, labwork, podcasts and live lessons.

  • At Mindful Boston, the free subscription is also known as Tier 1, it’s for folks who are testing the waters.

    If you are ready to dive into practice, jump right into Tier 2, it’s our General Membership.

Coaching Clients

  • The senior guiding teachers of Mindful Boston’s forum 5 offer coaching services.

  • At Mindful Boston, we’ve found that a three-month (quarterly) coaching contract creates a strong infrastructure.

    Each month includes a 75-minute coaching practice lesson and a 30-minute zoom call.

    Meditations are customized for your situation, and recorded for you during your sessions.

    That means that during each quarter, you will get 3 in-person coaching lessons, 3 zoom calls, and a curated list of relevant meditations to use going forward.

  • Bringing a stress resilience consultant onboard will enhance any workplace environment.

    We’ve found that a three-month (quarterly) coaching contract creates a strong infrastructure.

    The first month includes a 2-hour workshop on resilience for your team.

    The second month includes a 30 minute group zoom call to focus on integration.

    Meditations are customized for each team’s situation, and recorded for you during your live sessions.

    During the 3rd month, participants use the recorded podcasts to work on the material individually.
